More from our trip to Camp Tonkawa Springs...
The boys were desperate to catch a frog! Especially my son's friend, Blaine.
He found a hole in the ground and kept listening for them.
There werequite a few around, actually.
I caught a shot of this guy swimming right around us.
Blaine tried to catch him, with no luck.
My husband caught the bigger guy in the pictures below.

He did catch it again though... and it made it home with us. Safely. GRRRRR
Why do I always insist on bringing bug jars on our outings?
I was hoping for maybe a firefly or two in the evening.
But frogs?
And I found this one...
half frog/half tadpole?
How does that even work? When is it one or the other?
And another kid there found THIS one.
EEEWWWWWWWW!!!
Look at my goofy Aidan smiling in the background...
still wearing that swim ring :-/

Frogs are such a great part of summer. I can't *wait* until my son is big enough to appreciate them. Your camp pictures capture that feeling of summer just beautifully.

ReplyDeleteI learned my lesson when I let them bring home a goldfish... Nope, no frogs, please.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots you got! :)
I love these photos. I'm such a frog geek it's crazy. We even did our baby nursery in all cute frogs. The frog escaping photos were so darling. Though I bet it was frustrating for him :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Moments!
