Here are my interpretations for Scavenger Hunt Sunday.

{SUNSET}

A {SUNSET}.... East Texas Style
Just a little pond, in a little pasture.
With my iPhone, no less.
Someone PLEASE give me some tips
for iPhone photos and InstaGram?!

{SWEET}

I.LOVE.SUGAR.
I had so many ideas for this one.
But what I went with...
was a mix of my four favorite candies.
Sweet tarts, Gobstoppers, Nerds and Lemon Head & Friends.
I like chocolate... but not as much as these {SWEET}s!!
Just looking at this picture makes my teeth hurt.
Better make a dentist appointment STAT.


{HANGING AROUND}

The kids and I have been {HANGING AROUND} the park some.
Here's what I've been thinking.
Since she has all this hair, and she thinks she's a princess....
I'll just call her "Your HAIRness."
Instead of  "Your Highness"?!
hehe. I crack myself up.


{FUNNY FACE}

Wonder why our back patio glass door never stays clean?!
Could be Aidan's FISH LIPS smashed on it all the time :-)
He always has a {FUNNY FACE} for us.


{SPACE}

This guy knows nothing about personal {SPACE}.

Seriously. We have three donkies and I think we

have them all so spoiled. 

They think if we're in the pasture, we're only there to pet them.

Or feed them.

So when I'm out snapping pics, I turn around and see THIS!

CHEEEEESE!

Camp Tonkawa Springs ~ June '12 / Part 1

 This is my son's friend, Blaine .
He couldn't wait to JUMP right in!!! WOOHOOOOO!!


We went Wednesday to a place called Camp Tonkawa Springs.
It's filled with natural spring water, so it was COLD, COLD, COLD.
Which was refreshing, considering our temps have been in the mid to high 90's.
And don't even get me started on the humidity!

I have SO many pictures to share from this outing
that I'll spread them out over several posts.

THIS is how Mama Pate does Tonkawa! BAHAHAHAHA!!

 I am too big and too old to be swinging from a rope! But it was kinda fun :-)

Moving on....
We played in the "creek".
It does actually run into a creek, but they've cemented a portion of it.

My dorky kids crack me up running around with swim rings on! 

Aidan was trying to stop up the flow of the creek.

We did some

Lots of neat things to discover.
 I could've done without seeing that snake. It was a little snake, but still a snake.
Looks like he had just eaten? Probably a frog!

And Aidan says he found the smallest pine cone "in the history of EVER."

LouLou is a lot like her daddy in that she likes to do her own thing most of the time.
Just kick around and people watch :-)
Look at that beautiful smile!!

Once I finally convinced them to take their floaties/swim rings off,
they felt FREE!!
Aidan is a lot like me in that he never meets a stranger.
He played ball with some strangers for a little while.
And he did a LOT of splashing and rock skipping :-)

FREEEEEEEEE to splash and play......

Monday Rewind

I am dragging this morning! I stayed up until 3 AM reading an awesome blog I happened upon yesterday.  I don't even remember HOW I found it... but I'm in LOVE! 

 

  

The boys and I are headed to Shreveport (aka civilization) here in a few.  I have GOT to get off my behind and get motivated.

In case I haven't mentioned it like maybe 100 times the past few weeks, we are leaving for Florida later this week. I tried on the board shorts I normally wear over my swimsuit (that I cannot find) and they wouldn't even go over my fat butt!! Really?!  We'll be swimsuit/board short shopping today. And possibly school clothes shopping... just to get a little ahead of the the game.  School starts back August 25. And we have a ton of stuff going on the next few weeks.
